P.M will officiate Taman Perdana, the new recreation park in Tanjung Aru, near the Terminal 2 traffic light. Long time ago the place used to be government quarters if i'm not mistaken. When the structures become old and hard to maintain, it was converted into a recreation park to accomodate the needs of the health conscious people, who is looking for a place to sweat out and to relax. The recreation park has a jogging track, playground for kids, benches for relaxing, stalls and musical fountain. It is surely will become an attraction to all walks of life and I think it will be a popular spot for dating also :P
After that, PM will join the Gaya Street Chinese New Year celebration. This annual event attracts many visitors including tourists from many parts of the world. A lot of performances have been lined up to entertain visitors. If you around KK today, don't miss this colorful event :)
PM then fly to Tawau and go to Maliau Basin tomorrow, which will make him the first PM to visit Maliau Basin. He is expected to officiate the Maliau Basin Studies Center and witness the MoU signing between local and international groups involved in research in the untouched rainforest of Sabah. I think this is something good to Sabah especially in preserving our much treassured rainforest.
There you go, a quite hectic schedule of our PM when he visits Sabah today.
